A: BHI uses a combination of bank financing, public and private foundation grants and loans to acquire, rehabilitate and sell or rent some of the areas most devastated homes.  Our target projects include fire damaged, storm damaged, abandoned and dilapidated properties.  In the case of re-sales, BHI assists lower-income residents by subsidizing the sale of the property.
